Particle/Wave (2018)

An immersive multimedia experience in the planetarium dome, directed by Alicia Sometimes, Particle/Wave combines art and science into a show that explores elusive forces we cannot see. I composed sound for the segment on gravitational waves. The show was part of the 2018 Melbourne International Arts Festival and was presented at the Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks.

Love On The Line (2017)

Written, animated and directed by Nicole McKinnon, this embroidered documentary animation looks at how a real life couple met each other online. Nicole made and edited the original voice recording but I processed it and added the sound effects and mixed it. The film won Best Animation at the 2017 Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival.

Mediation - Balloon Animals (2017)

Directed by Susan Earl, Written and Produced by Nicole McKinnon
Cast: Germaine - Alexandra Nel, Pierre / Barry - Luka Trimmer, Mediator Lesley - Sally Thompson. Director of Photography - Kieran Doolan, Theme Music by John Phillips.
I was sound recordist on set, swinging the boom.

Marriage Isn't Child's Play (2015)

Narrated by Gabriella Petkov. Andie Reynolds wrote the music and recorded all the instrumentation. I wrote the vocal melody, recorded Gabriella's singing and voice over, and I mixed it. Thanks to Laura Ogeil for the gig!

SENSe Therapy (2014)

I created the soundtrack in Garageband and used pre-existing clips for the music. I created the sound effects using Garageband synth sounds. I engineered and recorded Astrid doing the voice over narration and I did the final mix. Thanks to Dr Claire Parsons for the opportunity.

Polo's Robot (2010)

Written and directed by Peter Lowey.
I produced all the sound except the music (Dale Cornelius) and the robot's voice (David Clifford). Some sounds I sourced but most were foley sounds recorded in my kitchen. I did the pre mix (without music) and sat in with Doron Kippen for the final mix at Music and Effects.

Missing the Boat (2009)

Directed by Pieter De Graeve. Produced by Nicole McKinnon. Written by Pieter and Nicole. I produced all the sound except a couple of pieces of the music. I recorded sound on set, produced all the foley, composed and recorded the score and mixed it all at Music and Effects. (I also briefly appear in the film as a gay lion!)

Elemental : Dark Matter (2009)

This is the first incarnation from the original Elemental show at the Melbourne Planetarium. Poem and reading by Emilie Zoey Baker and visuals by Mim Whiting. I created the soundtrack purely by sampling Emilie's voice recording - no other material added. I mixed it for 5.1 surround. This piece was revamped for 2014 with new visuals by Alex Scott and a new reading of a slightly different text from Emilie. I took the opportunity to tweak the sound. The new version went to India and Europe in 2015.

I Was Made For Loving You (2004)

Video by Ian Haig. Commissioned for Philip Brophy's Descore project that culminated in a screening at ACMI in September 2004 in 5.1 surround. I composed the soundtrack from various samples of machines and porn videos on the ASR10 and mixed it in 5.1 at Philip Brophy's studio Gelatin.
